The first quality check is done at the supplier, who selects the raw material that complies with the European Pharmacopeia, i.e. testing for identity by means of Thin Layer Chromatography, absence of heavy metals, testing for traces of more than 500 pesticides, traces of aflatoxins and microbiological contamination.
The extract will only be produced after finding the compatible raw material.
To produce a high-quality and efficient extract, the following steps are a must:
Samples of the produced extract are sent to an independent laboratory in Switzerland. It is recognized by the European Commission, Swiss Medic and accredited for analyses on food and pharmaceutical products.
Once again all required analyses are performed on the extract.
Only when the results of these analyses are fully in accordance with the European Pharmacopeia, the batch will be imported.
As soon as the complete batch arrives at Medichin, new samples are taken to be tested on quality and homogeneity once more. The homogeneity of each batch is tested on the basis of organoleptic analysis and FTIR spectra.
Internal controls are also carried out on the end product to guarantee homogeneity and quality.
